Welcome to Christ the King Family Church
We welcome you to Christ the King Family Church website.
THE WORD OF THE LORD FOR 2010.
"Surely the Sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets." Amos 3:7
2009 was mainly a year of plowing and planting, testing and obedience [There was not a lot of fruit to show for all the labor and hard work].
2010 is a year of reward & reaping, favor, promotion, advancement and success
Hi-lights & Headlines:
The Canadian economy will have a sudden spike in the 1st quarter of 2010 and the dollar will go up.
The next 3 months will be the best time to buy land [as there will be land shortages in various regions and the price of land will rise over the next 5 years].
The City of Winnipeg will consider expanding its borders and the possibility of annexing land from surrounding regions (municipalities).
Stephen Harper will emerge as a world leader on the world stage.
[Visual picture]
Opposition leader Ignatieff’s arrows towards Stephen Harper will turn to puffs
of smoke and will not be able to damage the Prime Minister.
In the US, the universal healthcare will be pushed through at a high price and further weaken the US economy as the price tag is discussed.
Obama will
be accused of being a fraud – a great speech maker, but not a great leader and
unable to bring the US back from the brink and deliver on
his promises
Sarah Palin will be more popular than the President [Obama] in 2010.
The true church in Canada will experience more refining over the next year. There are judgments coming for the apostate churches that have refused to acknowledge the rule of Christ.
A Bit about what we believe at Christ the King Family Church
Increasingly, our North American culture has become more and more like the religious climate of the first century church. The first century church flourished in spite of pagan and heathen governments, competing religion, philosophy, humanistic thought and persecution. We are said to be living in a ‘post-Christian’ era, where the influence of Christianity over North America has waned. The model that the church followed in the last 200 years has lost its ability to penetrate culture. A powerless church cannot demonstrate the kingdom to unbelievers or win them through arguments. The church is a supernatural and spiritual body that must rise to her position in the earth and produce spiritual signs, wonders and miracles that shake the unbeliever and the nations from their stupor to see and hear the King of glory.
The early church
produced signs & wonders that turned a pagan empire into a Holy Roman Empire within 300 years
of its Apostolic mandate to ‘Go Ye…’.
We believe the church
is arising and possessing her inheritance, being restored in faith, doctrine
and ministry that resembles the new Testament Church and moving into an
Apostolic age, where the 21st century church looks more like the 1st
century church than the 20th century church did. We believe the church is continually being
challenged in each generation to reflect more of God’s glory and understand
more of who she is. We believe the
church is rising up in this hour to be that glorious bride, without spot or
wrinkle…washed in the blood of the lamb.
About Our History
Christ the King
began in 1997 as a ‘church plant’…a new work that was being birthed in the North Kildonan area that was originally
called The Father’s House. We rented
space in the Boardwalk mall on Henderson Hwy. In 2001 we moved to Calvin Christian School on Sutton and
remained there for two years until moving to our present location at Chief
Peguis in 2003. We believe that we are
poised to reach a destiny that God has ordained for this local church since He
birthed it in his heart.
Our Vision
Vision is seeing what God wants us to see concerning our place in history, our place in the city, or nation, and how he would have us to build his kingdom. Once we see what he wants us to see, we become envisioned, and begin to act and build upon that vision.
‘Without a vision the people perish’ Prov 29:18
Everything we do will be governed and measured by our vision.
“Write down the revelation [vision] and make it plain…
so that a herald may run with it.
Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.” [Hab 2:2-3]
Our vision is to partner with Christ the King and Eph. 4:11 ministries to build an Apostolic-Prophetic Church, flowing in spiritual power and kingdom authority, transforming lives and nations with the Gospel of the Kingdom and the Word of God.
Our Mission:
To Equip and Envision the Saints to be an Apostolic-Prophetic people, reaching their world in global harvest.
To be Equipped – to be spiritually whole in character and activated in ministry
To be Envisioned – to see the Kingdom of God and understand his call to us
To be Apostolic – all of us should be prepared to go where God directs us
To be Prophetic – allowing the Holy Spirit to direct us
To Reach – Global harvest starts with us…right here, right now.
